Direct English Malaysia has joined forces with both Mahsa University and Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) in Kuala Lumpur to offer the Linguaphone Group’s unique and effective English learning system, Direct English to their students.
Direct English Malaysia has signed an Institutional Accredited Centre agreement which gives both prestigious universities the license to run and deliver the Direct English learning system to all of their foreign and local students who wish to upgrade their English language skills.
Tunku Iskandar, Group Executive Chairman of the Melewar Group said, “We are very happy to appoint MAHSA University and UNIRAZAK University as Institutional Accredited Centres of Direct English. We are confident that with Direct English, students will find that their English language studies are no longer an arduous task. We welcome them both to the Direct English Malaysia family”.
Prof Datuk Seri Dr Md Zabid bin Hj Abd Rashid, President and Vice Chancellor of UNIRAZAK commented that this announcement marks the beginning of a partnership that will be mutually rewarding for both parties. “UNIRAZAK will be delivering the Direct English program via our Centre for English Language (CEL). CEL already has an impressive track record for corporate training programs. With this new partnership with Direct English, we will now be able to cater to the learning needs of a much bigger market segment in Malaysia”.
In 2011, the Melewar Group, through its company English Learning Group Limited (ELG), entered into a partnership with the Linguaphone Group – a renowned UK-based global language training provider. Under this partnership, Melewar Learning Resources Sdn Bhd was appointed to coordinate the establishment a network of Direct English franchisees in a number of South East Asian and South Asian countries. Over 1,000 students have enrolled on a Direct English program in Malaysia alone, with plans to expand this much further in the coming year.
